Managed IT Services for Real Estate Companies
Real estate companies run on technology they rarely think about until it stops. When it does, responsibility should not disappear somewhere between an internal employee, a software vendor, an internet provider and whoever set up the office network three years ago.
UPTIME IT gives growing real estate organizations one technology partner accountable for keeping the environment running — employees, devices, networks, infrastructure, security and the workplace technology people use every day.
IT You Can Rely On. People You Can Reach.
One partner, one point of responsibility.
Real Estate Doesn’t Operate from One Desk
A real estate organization is rarely one office with everyone in it. There is usually a headquarters, often a second location, executives who are somewhere else most of the week, teams that work remotely, and in some organizations employees working offshore. The technology has to hold that together.
Not every real estate company looks like this, and the mix differs from one organization to the next. But the requirement is consistent wherever the people sit: support that works the same way for everyone, secure access to business systems, managed devices, reliable networks in each location, collaboration tools that work the first time, and someone keeping an eye on the infrastructure underneath all of it.
One IT Partner. Clear Accountability.
The difference between an IT vendor and an IT partner shows up on a bad day. A vendor answers for its piece. A partner answers for the environment.
Employees
Helpdesk, user support, onboarding and offboarding.
Devices
Endpoint management, patching, protection and lifecycle.
Network
Firewalls, switches, wireless and connectivity support.
Infrastructure
Servers, virtual infrastructure, cloud and hosted systems where applicable.
Security
Endpoint security, email security, identity, backup and vulnerability management as applicable to the engagement.
Workplace technology
Video conferencing and collaboration technology employees rely on.
What any individual organization needs is decided during onboarding, and the scope is written down rather than assumed. Not every service above belongs in every agreement. What does not change is that one team is accountable for the areas we take on. That is the basis of our managed IT services.
IT Problems Rarely Stay in One Category
An employee reports that the system is down. Before anyone can fix it, someone has to work out what “it” is:
In organizations with several IT vendors, that diagnosis often falls to the business itself — usually to an office manager or a CFO who has better things to do than referee a dispute about whose fault it is. Meanwhile the employee still cannot work.
You shouldn’t need to know who caused the problem before you know who to call.
UPTIME coordinates the technology environment and works across vendors where that is appropriate. The organization makes one call. Working out which layer is at fault is our job, not the customer’s.
Supporting Employees Wherever They Work
Support has to reach people where they actually are: at a desk in the main office, in a regional office, in a hotel before a meeting, at home, or offshore. The channel matters less than the fact that it is a real channel with real people behind it. Employees reach UPTIME by phone, by email and through our customer support channels.
Helpdesk
Our helpdesk is staffed 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern. We would rather publish the hours we actually staff than advertise coverage we do not.
Monitoring
Fully managed customers receive 24/7 monitoring of managed systems. That is monitoring, not a round-the-clock helpdesk — two different things, and we keep them separate.
From Employee Devices to Core Infrastructure
Most IT arrangements cover a layer or two and leave the rest to someone else. The gaps between those layers are where problems live, because no one owns them.
UPTIME can take responsibility across these layers rather than leaving the organization to coordinate several disconnected IT vendors and hope the handoffs hold. Which layers we own is agreed up front, and it can change as the organization does.
Customer story
Approximately 15 Years Supporting Gaia Real Estate
For approximately 15 years, Gaia Real Estate has relied on UPTIME IT as its managed IT partner.
UPTIME designed and implemented Gaia’s infrastructure and hosts Gaia’s IT assets in UPTIME’s colocation environment. We support its employees, manage its technology environment and support workplace technology including its video conferencing rooms. Gaia has offices in New York City and Miami along with offshore employees, which has given us direct experience supporting a distributed real estate organization rather than a theory about one.
“We’ve been working with Uptime for over 15 years, and what makes us happiest is knowing we’re in good hands. They handle everything from software, hardware, installations, and office moves. We trust them completely.”
Danny FishmanManaging Partner, Gaia Real EstateTechnology That Moves with the Business
Real estate organizations do not hold still. Employees join and leave. An office opens, moves or changes shape. People who used to be in the building now work from three places. Equipment reaches the end of its life and gets replaced. Conference rooms get rebuilt around whatever everyone is using to meet this year. Infrastructure changes. Security expectations keep rising.
Each of those is manageable on its own. The difficulty is that they arrive continuously, and every one of them touches technology that someone has to plan, execute and then support afterwards.
That is the argument for continuity. A partner who already knows how the environment is built, and why, treats each change as a step rather than a fresh start. Our relationship with Gaia has run for approximately 15 years across exactly that kind of change — which is the point of it.
Cybersecurity Is Part of the IT Environment
Security sold as a separate product tends to sit beside the IT environment rather than inside it. The result is a set of tools nobody operates day to day.
We treat it as part of running the environment: endpoint protection, email security, identity and access, patching, backup, vulnerability management and monitoring, applied according to what each engagement covers. The same team that supports the employees maintains the controls that protect them, which is usually the difference between a security tool being installed and a security tool being used.
More detail on the specific services is on our cybersecurity services page.
Fully Managed or Co-Managed
Real estate organizations arrive at IT from two directions. Some have no internal IT department and need one. Others already have an IT person or a small team and need capacity, coverage or depth around them.
Fully managed
UPTIME takes responsibility for the agreed day-to-day IT operations and becomes the organization’s IT team — support, devices, network, infrastructure and security under one relationship.
Co-managed
The internal IT organization keeps the responsibilities it wants to keep, and UPTIME owns the agreed operational areas alongside it. Nobody gives up control of their environment.
Both models are in use across our customer base, and the division of responsibility is defined during onboarding rather than left to assumption. Our co-managed IT page covers the second model in more detail.

A Good Fit for UPTIME
We are usually a good match for a real estate organization when several of these are true:
This tends to describe growing real estate organizations with dozens to hundreds of employees, though the headcount matters less than the shape of the operation.
Common Questions
Do you provide IT support specifically for real estate companies?
Yes. Real estate organizations are part of our customer base, including a fully managed relationship with Gaia Real Estate that has run for approximately 15 years. We are a general managed IT provider with direct experience in the sector, not a real estate software company.
Can UPTIME support multiple offices?
Yes. Supporting more than one location is a normal part of our work, including the networks, infrastructure and workplace technology in each office.
Can you support remote and offshore employees?
Yes. We support distributed workforces, including remote employees and, where an organization has them, offshore employees. Gaia Real Estate is an example.
Do you manage Microsoft 365 and employee devices?
Yes. Microsoft 365, identity and access, and endpoint management and protection are all within what we manage, as applicable to the engagement.
Can UPTIME manage our network and infrastructure?
Yes. Firewalls, switches, wireless, servers, virtual infrastructure, cloud and hosted systems are all within scope depending on what the organization needs.
Can you work with our existing internal IT employee or team?
Yes. That is the co-managed model. The internal team keeps the responsibilities it wants and UPTIME owns the operational areas both sides agree on.
Do you provide cybersecurity services?
Yes, as part of running the IT environment rather than as a separate product — endpoint and email security, identity, patching, backup, vulnerability management and monitoring, according to the engagement.
Do you support conference rooms and video conferencing?
Yes. Meeting room and video conferencing technology is part of the workplace technology we support. We implemented and support the video conferencing rooms at Gaia Real Estate.
What areas do you serve?
Our primary market is New York City, New Jersey and the greater New York region, with offices in Manhattan and Closter, New Jersey. We also support customers’ distributed employees beyond that region — though having employees somewhere is not the same as having an office there, and we do not claim otherwise.
How long has UPTIME been in business?
Since 2005. Our technical team has more than 60 years of combined technical experience.
